Fall Match 2022

In addition to your 1000 hours of supervised practice, there are two required Garden to Table Nutrition courses: Orientation (online) and Friday meetings (online).
There are no required in-
person meetings for Fall 2022 interns.

Interns meet on-line for orientation in January. The interns official start date begins when they begin their supervised practice, in February. Full-time interns, who start in February and complete 30 - 36 hours a week should finish by November, if there is no prior learning credit. Part-time interns who start in January should finish by May of the following year.

Reminder all interns must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19*. (See possible exceptions at this link.)

Is a Master's Degree Required?

Master's degree is not required for full time interns
All interns who are not scheduled to graduate by November 2023 must either already have a Master's degree, or be enrolled in a Master's program before starting the internship with plans to finish the Master's within one year of competing the internship.

Orientation

We will meet online from 12 - 3 PM PT (**new time!) on Mondays & Thursdays January 5, 9, 12, 19, 23, 26, 30. There will be 3-5 hours of required reading and assignments to do BEFORE each class meeting. Topics include: GTTN mission, diversity & bias, permaculture, US agriculture, cultural foodways, infant nutrition, nutrition focused physical exam, wild edibles, a clinical skills, case study.

Friday Meetings

We’ll meet online on Fridays twice a month starting in February 2023. These are required. We suggest you arrange your schedule to either take Fridays off, or do half days on Fridays. You’ll need time to attend these meetings and to work on assignments and study for your RDN exam. Required meetings will be twice a month between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM PST. We’ll use this time for your clinical case studies, presentations, guest speakers, and garden-to-table topics.
